The new BMW F800GS Adventure
We all knew he was coming someday, finally that day has come! I’m really excited about this motorcycle. I currently own a F800GS and when mine needs replacement I will definitely consider this one. Why? Because it has everything it needs to be great adventurer. I’m not waiting on another adventure bike with tons of horsepower that you really don’t need. This one has low weight (229kg with fuel), with the 24 litres of fuel it carries you can probably do over 400+km which is really nice for travelling.

KTM factory and BMW museum report
I wrote a small piece about my trip to the KTM factory and BMW museum. You can find it here.
Vaude Taurus II 3P: First impression
The Vaude Taurus II seems a very good choice for a first tent. It’s a 3 season tent and the complete package weighs about 2,7kg. They advertise it as a 3 person tent but that’s really optimistic although you can sleep in it comfortably with 2 persons and backpacks. The vestibule has enough room to store a backpack and a pair of shoes.
F800GS: Hyperpro spring upgrade
Well, I ordered the Hyperpro progressive replacement springs hoping to improve the suspension without investing a ton of money. The original suspension is just a bit to soft, especially the front end. I’m also taking my bike to the Pyrenees (Spain) and Tuscany (Italie) this year for off road riding, so that’s also a good reason to upgrade the suspension.
They’re going to install it on my bike the day before I’ll leave to the KTM factory in Austria (20/04/2013). So there will be enough time to test the suspension then
. Offcourse I’ll try to make a picture report of the installation of this kit.
So much things to do, so little time

Endurofun spring event VIDEO
March 23
The event started at 9am. The organization prepared us a really nice breakfast with cofee, orange juice and a big load of pastries
. After a small briefing we hit the road.
After riding for a few hours, around 12pm, we make our midday stop. The organization prepared sandwiches for us. After half an hour we hit the road again because we have a long way to go
.
Around 6pm we arrive (almost frozen) at the finish. Time to drink some hot soup and eat a hotdog, mmmmmmm.
Special thanks to the organization, they did a terrific job, everything that needed to be there was there. The people were also great, the atmosphere was very positive
.
This video will tell the tale better than a thousand words

Thank you Endurofun, and see you next time!!
Endurofun Spring Event
Waauuw, it was amazing today. Although it was a spring event we had some snow now and then, and it was sooooo cold. I’ll make the ride report another day because I’m just so tired right now
. The terrain difficulty was definitely not for beginners, but that makes it so much fun
. The event itself was very well organized!
I’ll give you some pictures for now, to appease your appetite. The video will follow one of the coming days!
